Here's a funny story for you...For those who don't know me, I am restoring a triple black '73 Torino Q-Code (351 Cobrajet). I am getting a floorpan welded in shortly (from a donor car). Anyway, when I went to the welder last week, I had my wife follow me (in case I needed to leave the car there for a bit).
So, on my way back home- a few miles- I got a slight vibration in my wheel. So I pulled over to check the wheels, and a couple of lug nuts backed away from the hub from the rotor replacement job I did (they backed off just a bit since they were brand new).
Since I didn't have the lug wrench with me, I parked the Torino on a side road and left the wife there, taking her car for a 1/2 mile ride to our house for the wrench. When I got back 5 minutes later, a guy was leaving and he gave me a BIG thumbs up and wave on the car.
But it gets better. My wife told me that when the guy pulled over, she thought he was going to ask if she needed help. Nope. First words out of his mouth were: "Is that a '73 Torino????? "And it's a SPORT?!?!?" That was my first car!!!!! I LOVE THOSE THINGS!!!!!"
Then he drove off without even asking her if she needed any help! http://forum.grantorinosport.org/smileys/smiley36.gif
