Looks like this car is stated as a R/T supercharged Challenger. Yet it has the SRT8 badging. Factory warranty... doesn't say if it's any good. 425RWHP sounds a bit weak unless this thing really is an R/T.

Does anyone know what this car really is?

All those pictures and not one of the motor or blower.
And the car has the SRT/8 wheels too.
Strange to me that you would be trying to sell a S/C car and show pics of everything EXCEPT the motor or blower. :bs:

425hp is what the SRT/8's come with from the factory.

Doom, if you look at the smaller pics you will see it made 436RWHP (I think) and it has a twin screw supercharger.

That is an R/T. It has a cloth interior which is not available in the SRT8. Someone just added the SRT8 badges & hood treatment. It also states in the ad that it has 22" wheels which are not stock. 20" is the biggest for the factory wheels. The wheels on the car do look similar to the stock SRT8 wheels. This is actually a great deal because the car stickered new for close to what they are asking & you're getting the supercharger, exhaust, lowering springs & wheels for free!

That HP seems correct to me. 435 at the wheels is about 510 at crank, being an R/T has 347HP from factory number do jive. Gotta wonder why somebody would put all that money into it and then trade it in.

This is an R/T that has been badged as an SRT. It is not an SRT. There are major differences between the two, it't not just badging. SRT's have different suspensions, different TCM and ECM programs, Limited slip, shorty headers, a whole list of things that make them different. The wheels are not factory but are an available aftermarket SRT lookalike. The engine is a 5.7L hemi, which will make 330 to the rear wheels stock. With a tune and freer flowing exhausts they dyno at about 360-370 to the rear wheels. Spending $7,000 for a Techco supercharger just to get 425 to the rear wheels is not very impressive, but my guess the s/c is running low boost and a very conservative tune. Techco's don't have a track record for higher boost levels, and the company has closed down temporarily, not real good signs.

BTW, Dodge says the SRT's 6.1L is 425 hp, but that's at the crank. Mine dynos at 372, stock except for a conservative tune and CAI. For less than the cost of a Techco, you can install a stage 4 cam with ported heads, ported intake with a 90mm throttle body, and cat backs that will boost the rwhp of the 6.1L to over 500 hp without a supercharger.

This car is not a bad deal per se, except the phony badging is total crap. Put on a different pully, get a good tune, and you'd be at 500 hp to the rear wheels.

noone has mentioned the most obvious non-SRT giveaway yet. To my knowledge there has never been an SRT line vehicle that did not have it sewed into the seats. From SRT-10 to SRT-4 they have always had it..even the rare Crossfire SRT-6's. I dont think anyone would ever intentionally have that removed.

Yeah, but I've seen SRT owners reskin the seats. Mr. Norm's Challengers reskin the seats as part of their package, as does Hurst and Hennessy. Biggest single giveaway is the 5.7L engine, though you're right, easy to spot an R/T by looking at the seats. No SRT Challenger has cloth seats and an otherwise stock looking seat should have a colored stripe and SRT enbroided in the leather.

BTW, the photo is of an 08 interior. 09 and 10 it just says SRT.

This is a page out of the Mopar performance catalog, which shows a reskin available for SRT seats.

My thoughts exactly.
