I have a drag race Christams Tree.

It came with a black box into which each of the lights separately plugs into a separate outlet.

A ribbon cable comes out of the back of the black box. I do not have any other electronics or controllers for the Christmas tree.

I need someone to make some sort of sequencer that will drop the lights down to simualte the tree dropping.

Ultimately, this will be used as a decoration in my shop and I think it would look a lot cooler if the lights droped and then recycled and kept repeating the cycle.

Can anyone build a controller for this?

Marty, Can you take some photos of the inside of the black box. Need to see some guts, ribbon cable(s) etc., to form an opinion on what may be needed.

I will pull it apart and snap some photos in the next couple of days.

Sorry I did not do think to do that in advance!

What brand Martin? Port-o-tree or Final Round (Biondo)?
I have a friend with the Final Round timer controls

I honestly do not know.

I am going to look and let you know.

i want to use it either in "demo mode" or as a practice tree better still.

Practice tree controlers are available at Sumit.

If you get me pictures or some type of schematic I'll wire at least a demo mode controller up.

My friend is building the rear in the GMQ as we speak, let me know if it will be compatible and I'll see what he would sell it for.
