Saw a black one on the Kennedy Expy.,I-90 westbound between 2 and 2:30 PM today.First one I've seen on the road.I wasn't real impressed with the styling, from the rear it seemed sort of like an ugly Audi.I didn't get a chance to roll with it to see what it really had as traffic was too heavy.

There was a SHO at the cruise I went to on Sunday.

It was hilarious - this guy parked next to a mint Dodge Viper and everyone was ignoring it, going straight for the SHO. Definitely the most popular car of the whole show...

Of course, it was at the Ford Engine Plant so obviously there was a ton of Ford guys there!

My buddy just ordered a top-dog SHO with everything it can possible be loaded with, amazingly enough he only paid ~$33k from an original sticker of $47k.

I can see the 12.75 these are turbo'd I'm sure it was tuned for extra boost. It will be interesting to see how the ecoboost responds to additional boost both in terms of power and longevity at high boost.

If the motor can take it, and the turbo's have the headroom, this car could be made a beast with simple tuning, unlike the Marauders that needed tons of boltons or S/C to see the 12s

I'd rather go slower and have something I like like, than drive something fast and ugly. This car would give sleeper a bad name... if you wanna consider an SHO a sleeper.

For that kind of money I can drive something that does not have a Ford badge on it and I don't care if the Taurus might be a little faster, as I'll take the luxury. If i were going to spend that much on a Ford I would go for one of the Shelby Mustangs.

Marauders were 35k new...pretty pricey for what you got IMO.

Like all good Fords they will drop in value fast, so used they'll be 15k in no time. LOL!

They had a loaded SHO out front last Sunday. Black with a two toned leather interior. I liked the interior until the sales guy (on a Sunday?) told me that it wasn't suede but recycled soda bottles. Ech. Sticker was shy of $43 K. Engine is covered up with a huge black plastic cover. Ech.

Still, I would buy one under different circumstances. The sales dood was more interested in asking questions about my SRT, which is fine since it was obvious I was a looky loo and not going to come back to purchase the SHO.

The SHO is a fine choice if you need a sedan, imo. Performance, mileage, and luxury on the inside. I like the styling on the Lincoln version better, but meh.

Ech?
What's wrong with that? It apparently looked real enough for you to think it was suede. So they got a bunch of plastic bottles out of the landfills and found a decent use for them.

I think it's cool. Way to go Ford!

Just don't know how durable recycled plastic bottles would be compared to real suede. Great that they can do it, just not so appealing to me personally.

Nice interior, nice speed, but the price is BS. Is this also wrong wheel drive?

It is AWD...

justbob

Thats better. It would be nice if it were rear wheel with the option of engauging the front. I assume its the other way around, or permanent AWD?

No offense Lar, but If he " sho'ed you ", you may not have much to report!

Yep,
The salesman was trying to prove how 'green' the SHO is, but a used soda bottle comparison is not the way to do it.

:hmmm:
Although....plastic bottles in a landfill won't deteriorate for ohhhhh.....a thousand years!
