Chevrolet's latest rear-wheel-drive cop car, the 2011 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle, will be available with both V6 and V8 engines. The vehicle announcement took place in Denver, Colorado, during the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference.

If Ford only took GM's vision of performance and all and applied it to the CV it would be golden. 355hp/385tq with a 6 speed auto and 2.92 live rear axle.

I think it should do pretty good. Better than that crappy charger some of them use , and as long as they don't go foreign i dont care what they do.

The Caprice will be an import lol, it's going to be manufactured in Australia and shipped over from what I have read. Maybe they will re-tool some of the Saturn plants to be able to make the car here as they are closing the Saturn plants but no laying anyone off.

Well i mean toyota, honda, nissan, etc. lol. and the G8 was originally from austrailia. It was introduced there a few years ago as the holden commadore.

It's a G8 people. A ****ing G8 cop car thats over 2 seconds faster in 0-60 than a Vic and almost 2 seconds faster in the 1/4. It will be pricey, but this car WILL be a hit amongst LEO's. I'm sure the only reason they didn't keep it a G8 was because of GM killing the Pontiac brand altogether.
