Came across this on ebay. Iv'e never seen the alternator in this position on sc cars. Would this work on our cars?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-4-6-MODULAR-ENGINE-ALTERNATOR-RELOCATION-BRACKET_W0QQitemZ390098808868Q QcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_T ruck_Parts_Accessories?hash=it em5ad3b37024#ht_567wt_684

Went out to look at my motor and discovered that we have a coolant pipe there. It's strange that we have two coolant return paths to the block.

You would probably have to notch the frame and possibly relocate the ABS pump.

Looks like the belt makes very little contact with the PS pump - I wonder what parallel parking would feel and sound like...

This relocates the alt. to the A/C compressor position on the pass. side. Karkraft used to sell these. I thought about using it for my setup when I go S/C. They also sold a companion idler that would bolt up to where the alt. would be, just a small, round pulley. Not that bad of a price, although I don't think a stock modular-type alt. will work, you'd have to change the style of the alt. so that the mounting ears will fit that bracket.
