View Full Version : So i think i have a valid reason to be angry.

I think i fried a SD card.


Long story short, i had one sitting at work in my laptop and thow laptop in trunk of car.



Goes through a few cold cycles.


I go to load the pics off from MV today, NOPE. Nada.

Goddangit im ticked. Doesnt even show as a drive and my nikon tells me its a bad card. Im not heavily into data forensics, especially when it comes to my own stuff but im not about to send my stuff out to drive savers, but anyone have any tips as to recovering the pics?

Not to sure what you could do for picture retrieval Ryan. I had a brand new SD card go bad and corupt all data thanks to the kiosk at Target. And no, they would'nt do anything about it.

Yes and no. Yes it's a joke, but it was no joke in my life. When I first heard this I was with my then girlfriend and she heard it too. I was really laughing and she was really mad. :rofl:

Sorry to hear about your data. We get used to stuff working well most of the time and forget that bad things happen to good data sometimes.

I have found that any removable memory like SD cards, thumb drives, etc is more sensitive to static electricity, electrical service fluctuations, heat, cold etc than I realized. I recommend to friends to not leave them in when not in use. I do leave the ones in my digital cameras permanently with photos still on them, but the photos are duplicated on a couple desktop computers.

I don't know if you were successful or not, but, we have used EasyRecovery Pro for data recovery on all sorts of devices with good luck over the years. Expensive, but, you could find it on the net... fosi.ural.net for a start.
