OK folks....I saw this at the local auto parts store.

My question is; What is it supposed to do?
And I'm almost afraid to ask this one....Where do you put it?....:eek:

Wouldn't use it in mine either.

If you think your tranny needs it, it probably needs a rebuild.

As a trans tech hell no I wouldn't put it in my car or any customers. Most of them have two main components. One, more friction modifier to keep clutches from chattering when they slip and another to swell the rubber seals to lessen leaks past piston seals. This crap is a band aid on a bullet wound, I have pulled apart some that have used it and it seems like after the seals swell it works for a little while but then all the rubber starts to crack and at that time major hard part damage is done as internal leaks are so bad fluid doesn't make it to bushing to lubricate them. big $$$

better off doing a pan drop - new filter - Mercon V or AMSOIL synth fluid.

For the off chance it was also a serious question: They had that stuff at Discount Auto back when I worked there. It's just one more thing to attempt to swell up the seals in case your tranny has the clap, errr I mean drip. ;)
