I get the inside jab you just gave your buddy.

Too bad he would be able to afford 2 Titans and a Sentra for the same money. (We know, you still wouldn't set foot inside them).

I cannot even IMAGINE owning a Ford Diesel once the warranty ends. The thought alone sends shivers down my spine.

They are bad a$$ till they fail and if the past is any indication, boy oh boy will they fail.

So the new diesel is not made by Navistar?

This could be good for the power stroke...if Ford get's it right.

Only time will tell. It's good they tested it but it will take time to really see how reliable the motor is.

Here's a sad fact - I took a trip this summer and I'm thinking one day I want a diesel pickup. Well, I saw 3 Super Duty's with their hoods up in 800 miles. I'm sorry but it makes me want to consider Cummins and Duramax instead. This may not be 100% Ford's fault though since Navistar had a such a hand in the power stroke, and often failures were the result of them not being as moddable as other diesel's.

If Ford dumped Navistart to embark on an in-house diesel, then this proves Navistar was doing them wrong.

Thats just it, up until now Fords diesels were not made by Ford. This is the first in house made Diesel.
