Greg Moore - 10 years ago today

I havent been a big fan of the CART/IRL drivers (since the formation of the IRL anyway) but for some reason I always liked Greg Moore. Hard to believe its been 10 years.

Jessica and I met him at the inaugural opening of MIS.
Her father is a big nascar follower and one of his buddies with connections gave us awesome tickets with full vip privilages.

Really nice guy and one hell of a driver.

I never saw an open wheel car spin out 3 full turns at 200+ mile per hour, regain control...and continue forward as if nothing happened.
Greg did it though.

Wasnt Paul Tracy his teammate? I was always a fan of Target Chip Ganassi Racing. They had Jimmy Vasser, and Alex Zanardi. Way way back.

I remember he was the king of dounts. and when he finally won the CART world series his whole team ran on track with boxes of donuts.

Then he went to F1 and lost his legs in a horrific crash coming out of the pits. The cool thing is, when he recovered, they hooked up an F1 car with hand controls and let him finish the laps of that race.

What ever happend to cart?
