Congrats on your purchase. If you want speed control, all you have to do is replace the steering wheel and reprogram the PCM.

great looking car, where did you get her from?
These guys:
http://www.americaninterceptors.com/
And let me tell you, Aramis and his father are GREAT people. They are real thorough in their P71's and ive heard nothing but great things from them.
"American Interceptors is family owned and operated. Licensed Florida Dealers and P71 enthusiasts. American Interceptors is South Floridas most aggressive reconditioned Police Interceptor Dealer. We are very meticulous when we purchase retired Interceptors we will not purchase a retired P71 if it does not meet our pre-restoration standards, we only purchase from agencies that have a great fleet maintenance program and have one assigned driver per vehicle and take home vehicle programs."
American Interceptors Recondition Process
First, each and every vechile is inspected by one of our ASE certified mechanics for complete diagnostic, visual inspection and servicing.
• The oil and oil filter are changed.
• Antifreeze in flushed and replaced.
• Serpentine belt is inspected and replaced if needed.
• Coil packs are tested and replaced if needed.
• Brake rotors are turned or replaced if needed.
• Brake pads are inspected and replaced if needed.
• Tires are inspected and replaced if needed.
• All ( 8 ) Spark Plugs are replaced.
• All ( 4 ) wheels are balanced.
• New Wipers are installed.
Then off to the paint shop.
• We start out by stripping the car of all its headlights and taillights, along with the parking lights, push bar and grill, weather stripping to assure that there are no tape lines.
• Then the car is completely repainted with a base coat and clear coat costing $2100.
• After that the car gets wet sanded and buffed to make the paint still look wet.
• Wheels are cleaned and painted with special engine heat paint to look like new from the factory.
• Wheel wells are cleaned and painted.
• Door handles are painted to look new from factory.
• Push Bar is cleaned and painted.
• Brand New Highlights are installed.
• Brand New Parking Lights are installed.
The interior is inspected.
• Both Front seat are Removed and taken apart then dry cleaned.
• Rear seat is taken out and detailed.
• The rubber flooring is cleaned, sanitized and detailed.
• Any trim that is broken or missing is replaced.
• Brand New Tint is installed
These guys are no joke. :D
Thanks for posting this info.

Matt,
You're from the Lone Star State and you bought the Vic from South, FL? You must have REALLY trusted them before hand.
Why?
Did you pick up the car or have it shipped?
I ask because I am REALLY thinking about buying one now.

Was your Friend's Vic repainted as well?
Are they always repainting the Original Color so that the paint matchs under the hood, door jams, etc...?
Yeah he got this one....

thats the 2005+ standard steering wheel for all panthers....
Your first mods should be, clean the headlights up (they look kinda faded)
Get rid of those CRAP tires, and rims to unless you want to maintain the cop look

That's odd cause the seller states they install "Brand new Head/ Tail Lights."

Yes i do trust them, they have been absolutely perfect to us so far. (went out of their way and swapped out the vinyl seat that came in mine to a matching black cloth seat!) for no extra charge. These guys were awesome.
We had our cars shipped all the way to texas for... $400 beans a car :)
I would recommend them to anyone!

From what i know, yes
And Yes, absolutely.

The Headlights are new (the picture was taken in the shade and they look off because of that.) Notice my buddys headlights? ;)
And I LOVE the black 18's. Esp. when they are all nice and clean like these.

Still going strong!
My next car will be another Vic. I don't think there is a more dependable car on the road.
When I'm ready to get another one I will check these guys out.

I bought mine in December of 2009 but my older brother REALLY wanted so I let him have it. When he pays me back, I will be buying a second unit from them.
