While all you guys were out having the time of your life in Commerce (sumbich supverisor ), I had a chance to firm up a few projects for the coming year. I'm having a couple custom parts made up by Vertex down in Florida (already sent them the order, and had a part shipped to them for measurements), something I think other Challenger owners will think is pretty cool. Tomorrow I send off a packet to Killer Paint stuffed full of reference photos of my car and engine room where they will work up a project quote for me. And I made a final decision about performance mods and where I will have the work done.

I've decided to go with BMC performance in West Palm Beach, Florida. I was all set to give the job to MPH in Cartersville, but then they announced they'll be moving to Chicago next month. Oops. I'm going to be able to stay locally while BMC does the work, and they have an arrangement with Diablosport for tuning.

The work will be two stages. Stage One is Arrington Engines cam and ported heads, plus a ported intake that will be polished and sent to CalChrome to be plated in Black Chrome. CC will send it to Arrington to be ported. Arrington will also supply a 90mm throttle body, also port matched. And push rods.

Builder Bob will supply a built NAG1 automatic transmission.

Mopar Performance will supply a cat back system (no performance gain, but I'll get some more agressive sound to the system).

Stage two comes about two years down the road. I'm swapping the 6.1L for an Arrington Engines 426 stroker with forged internals, the cam will be upgraded and upgraded heads will be put on. A new TCM will replace the stock module, and Builder Bob will upgrade the NAG1. The exhaust system will be modifed to a side exit system, and a functional TA hood will be installed. Afterwords, the car will be shipped to Snohomish, WA for Lavallee to apply custom paint. By this time I'll be driving a new 2012 Challenger SRT with the 6.4L for my daily driver, the 426 will be a show car and track car.

That's the plan, and I'm already started!

Hey Donny, we missed you. I was surprised, didn't see any Challengers running at all. A few Chargers and Magnums were representing for y'all though. We really need to get a representative from the Mopar group to work with us for next year's SSHS event, spread the joy.

Oh, sounds like your car is gonna be wicked. I also was surprised by the MPH move, had some plans for them to do some stuff to my car.
