I was in an experimental mood yesterday. So I put my MM wheel on the front to check clearances. I will need to get an adapter to move it out 1-1/4" and account for the different hubcentric diameters if I were to seriously do this.

I guess these wheels can dress up any kind of pig. :D

it definitely looks better, you'd just need some mall crawling offroad tires like nitto terra grapplers or so.

Hmm I'll have to let my friend know who has a Cherokee Sport about that.

Let him know that the bolt pattern fits, but the hub on the mm wheel is smaller that the jeep's 72mm hub. Ideally 1-1/4" would put the inside to be the same as original inside location. The tires on my MM wheel are Toyo Proxes ST II 255/50.

I added pics to show that inside clears spring without the hubcentric spacer. Also the jeep wheel pic is 6" and the MM wheel is at 7-1/4" backspace.

I did this because my wife was complaining about how bad the jeeps tires are in the rain. I figured that I'm not too happy with my tires anyway, I'll just pass them onto her. Then we both might be happy. She won't be doing any trails, so why not put a standard truck street tires on it?

It maybe a cheap way to achieve the "SRT8 Jeep" look.

Yes but this would be the better way

That just looks retarded. How do they turn corners? LOL! To each their own as they say.

those dont even have the same bolt pattern, that was just for fun :P

Although i bet i'd get alot of east side signs if i went cruzin in dirty jerz-y city.... until the rims got stolen and i had to walk home...

Its just as pointless as putting 18" bling on a jeep, which is an offroad vehicle :D

Chris,

Let him know about the headlight upgrade that I did today...

I just did a headlight & wiring upgrade on this Jeep to Hella H4 bulbs, 5000k color, 80/85watts. Vast improvement over the stock junk!

I went with these items:
http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=1247 (HL28200)
This wiring kit is plug and play! Also, high quality workmanship!
The H4 sockets needed to be "snugged" so that it would grab onto light pins tighter.
http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=744 (H6054J)

We had an odd issue with the high beams staying on all of the time.
The tech guy at Susquehanna Motorsports (a.k.a. rallylights) solved the issue by adding a #17189 bulb in the old unused headlight socket. It is wired just to come on with high beams. This added just enough resistance so that the relays would work properly.

Fantastic light output! Far exceeds OEM!
I could post pics if someone were interested.
