ok , so i basically dont like the huge mercury waterfall on the ass so my proposal is this: option A ) remove ugly waterfall and replace with a Marauder Emblem that I have. down side to this is that marauder is emblazzened at the bottom on the bumper so it might seem a bit redundant. Option B) I can order a Police interceptor Badge and put it in the same place. Option C) remove the badge and leave the 2 little holes and maybe ill find a cheap way to fill them.

I'd go with option A. And that's my final answer.

I'd really like to see those Trilogy fascias. I can't stand that da~n M A R A U D E R indentation in the back. I don't know why Ford insists on putting that indented name call out on most of their cars. Not only are they ugly, but they're a pain in the butt to clean! I was going to try to come up with some way to cover up mine, but if Trilogy is coming out with a replacement, I'll wait to see what it looks like. I've seen some sketches of them, but I'll reserve judgement until I see them in person.

Why not just swap it out for a black CV or GM rear bumper...then, the splash guards would fit. They make versions that would accommodate the tips on the LX-Sport.

I have something like TAF and NBC Shooter has option C, to fill it the nicely its almost $500. But you need to do what feels good for yourself.

I like the badges that TAF has, but his car's rear end would look much better with a spoiler.

I stand alone on this, retain the stock Mercury emblem, I'm gald Mercury produced the car, it may not be as strong as we would prefer, but better than a 239hp GM.

Who took/made that photo ??wow. ...... ok im calm now. I've decided im going to get the blow dryer out and heat / pry off the back emblem and see what the holes are like. ALso I found a blacked out front frill on ebay that im bidding on, but im having doubts cuz if your going to do something you might as well do it right the first time. ( i.e. badgeLESS grill)

From what I've read at Trilogy's site they are not, or have no plans at this time to make these.

You are correct the rear bumper cover of say a 2003 CV any model with the HPP ( Handling Performance Package - standard on the Sport ) does have the cut-outs ( though not quite as articulated as those of the MM from what I've noticed ) and should(?) be a plug-and-play.

Just remember though, that the CV bumper cover has a trim strip that on the Sport is color-matched ( chrome on the other models ). And "yes" you can remove it ( held-on by double-side tape ), however, you're then left with the channel that housed it.

*Sorry ... currently don't have a good back-end pic'.

And if you're going to get one, get a genuine FoMoCo for quality and fit.

LV here is what I used for the rear of my MM once the Mercury water fall badge was removed.

I like the rear bumper cover on the Marauder. It's well designed, and unique.

A bumper cover from a CV or GM would look like a sore thumb on a Marauder.

Other than a Mustang, what other car does ford put lettering on the rear bumper?

General Motors does it on many of their cars

The rear bumper is a reminder for ricers of the model of the car that just blew by them!

My silver bumper with black letters is beautiful and draws more attention every day.

This morning, dude says: "Yo, is this car factory like dis?"

I said: "Yup." Dude got on his cell phone to call his car friend and ask what the he(ck) a Marauder was.

The chrome wheels and Mercury badges are a perfect match for the silver paint, IMNSHO.

At first, I wasn't sure what you were talking about, LVMarauder . . . Is this the concept sketch that got you (and me) all a-skitter?

http://newsfile.tv/SEMAConcept2003.jpg

Here's what Matt from Trilogy said in the post of this picture, "Posted: Mon Sep 22, 2003--I agree, the sketches are very nice ideas. . . Unfortunately, it seems to me that they will remain concepts for the foreseeable future; it looks like Jerry decided to devote the man hours to the supercharger instead of the other mods. The original idea was a total makeover of the Marauder by Trilogy, but the supercharger is all that really made it off the ground. So, sad to say, but the concept sketches will most likely stay just that. I do like the SEMA concept sketch, though."

Yup, I agree that is damn nice. The Bondurant facia is cool too, but that was a specially made part, and I think they only made 10 for their racing school CVs.

Hack:

How old is this information you have from Trilogy that you posted? "Originally posted by Hack Goby--Trilogy has front and rear fascia plans for the Marauder to be out soon. I dont know what they look like but I have been told they will be 2" shorter than the stock fascias."

Oh, I was wrong in my earlier post about the Bondurant facia (which I guess is a Rousch-designed part)--I'll quote Hack Goby's post from the Trilogy forum here, ". . . but when the driving school switched to GM cars, Roush put 6 fascias and 75 spoilers on the internet and they were gone in a week."

I got my fascia info from Jersey Vic`s I beleve the numbers are correct. As for the Trilogy fascia`two weeks ago Jerry and Lidio showed up at Wild Woody`s on Sunday and there was some talk about them being out sometime soon,How soon? only they know. Now there is the SEMA show in Las Vagas Nov. 4-7 I think they are going to have a car at the show so maybe there going to drop the bomb on us there. This is my guess if you think I am full of **** let me know.

thats the picture I went wacko over. Seriosuly if trilogy reads this Id bet my maraduer that you will have a huge market to sell to if you produced a kit that was what we see in that composite image
