Eddie Hill finally sold his beautiful Lola T-70 Mk III. This car was one on the James Garner Racing Team back in the day and also was in the movie THX-1138. Hill bought it way back when and drove this on the streets of Wichita Fallas, TX. One of my top two or three facvorite cars the T-70. Read someplace else he used the money from the T-70 to but one of those Gulf Oil painted Ford GTs.

I had not seen Eddie Hill in a while. I watched him in a lot of races. Sure glad the car has survived.

WOW!! That car gives me a hard....opps. Eddie hill is such a class act!! He was great a great racer. I remember when he really wrecked his Top Fuel dragster. What an awful crash. Amazingly he came back to the track a few hours later.

I remember when he crashed his drag boat, and wasn't back for a year, a fantastic man, and a true believer.

Some of us guys were lucky enough to be around in the sixties and not only got to see the Porsche 904's,906's,Scarabs,Cheetah's, Ford GT's,Chapparal's and Ferrari's along with many others race and were lucky enough to have scale model slot cars of these great cars we could go out and tear up miniature tracks of our own with.Maybe us kids would never be able to race or afford a real one but we darn sure loved and enjoyed them anyway.
Those WERE the days,Super Stock's A/FX altered wheelbase cars,Gassers,Fuel Altereds and slingshot rail jobs at the strip, real production body cars at NASCAR,some of the sexiest sports cars ever produced racing,Ferrari's and BRM's duking it out in Grand Prix,Indy switching over from Offies and Watson roadsters to rear engine cars, along with Andy Granatelli's unusual STP Indy entry's,all the awesome Le Mans cars and then the great Trans Am series wars, the rest of you guys in your 50's and 60's know what I mean, and if you didn't have at least one STP sticker on your car you were nowhereville.STP stickers were the R stickers of OUR youth, you HAD to have one!
