I went in for my free oil change today, and finally the radio was acting up when I was at home. I brought the service writer out, and showed him the problem. I have no problem with the fact that intermittent problems are tough to run down, so I never got very upset when they were unable to find it the last few times. I was ready to bite the bullet on the repair, or have it put on my Extended Service Plan, which would have cost me the repair cost at the end of the plan when I get the unused portion refunded. The service writer however, nearly floored me when he said that they would cover the repair even though I'm out of original warrantee!! He said, " You've put up with this for a while now, and you've mentioned it before here, so I'll cover the costs as if it were a warrantee item." YIPEE!! On another note, just to add some more fuel to the whole 300A and 300B debacle, I was scoping out a black 2004 on his lot. It is listed on the factory paperwork as a 300A. Hmmmm.

A "retro" 2004?

Yes, the new model year starts the "300" series over at "A". I have a 2004 300A. If they make changes they consider significant enough, there will be a 2004 300B.

"A" indicates "job 1" cars. There hasn't been a "job 2" yet for 2004, therefore no "B" cars
