Oh how I wish I had the coin to buy my all time favorite ride. A 2002 ZL-1 Camaro with the phase III engine package. I was fortunate enough when I use to show my 1997 Camaro SS at the ChevyVette Fest shows I got to meet the owners and builders at GMMG Inc who built only 69 ZL-1's with the phase I, phase II and phase III and only 34 of these 600 hp machines. They stickered for $110,000 for the phase III. And low and behold, there is one on Ebay now for $90,000.:(
You can see all the different camaros that I was fortunate to see up close and personal.

good lord, that thing has got to be stupid fast.
I'd love to drive it once, or maybe even have it to say "look what I got", but I just can't bring myself to like those style of f-bodies.

No way. I highly highly doubt it. The intake was only available from GMMG with the engraving and other items like the gadge cluster that has the ZL-1 logo. You cant just go out and find that. Last I checked they would not put the Phase I, II, or III engines in anyones F-body unless it was one of the ones they built and you wanted to up grade from the Phase I or if you have a 35th anniversary Camaro SS. I may even have pictures of that one from Chevyvette fest too.
Ans who wouldnt want that engine. 427ci C-5R racing block, 600hp, oh I am starting to get excited now:P

It's a Replica built by an after-market company. The ebay posting states it.

All 69 2002 ZL-1's and I think 3 prototypes one of which was built for Helen Gibb (widow of Fred Gibb, one if the originators along with Vince Piggens, of the 1969 ZL-1) were built by GMMG Inc. Not General Motors. GMMG needed permision and their blessing's to do the ZL-1 project. Its is an official GM product but was never built by GM. It is far from a replica. It is one of the original 69 made in 2002. Yes GMMG Inc is an after-market company in a way just like ASC McLaren built the Buick GNX and PAS Inc built the 1989 Turbo Trans Am for General Motors.

Where?
All I see is the stats on which number in the production run it is and also that the sale includes all the original official documents that'd only come with the real deal.

OK, not Replica, but not built by GM either.

That is a bad car!
I love the hood decals... except that they give away 'the game'.
I'd want suckers to say: "Oh that's a nice, clean 5.7L F-body."
I'm not a Chevy guy...but I like all well engineered and FAST cars!
(BTW: I'd be afraid of the punishment that Chevy rearend would take from a 427 engine...:bigcry:....
it probably wouldn't last too long with drag radials.)
