I've been noticing some odd behavior from my vehicle lately (within the last couple of weeks). You see ordinarily, it looks like this:

But I walked outside at oh-dark-thirty yesterday morning, and it looked like this under the streetlight:

And the horn sounded off uncommanded by me. It's picked up a really loud Kenworth-like sound too. I blinked, and it looked normal again. Kept hearing a ticking sound under the hood, too...wonder if I'm getting that same valve problem that somebody else had mentioned on the boards.

This morning was even worse. Today it looked like this:

Yeah, we just watched that movie last week, again for the 10th time.

" The Car" sure sounds like a Hemi, but that hood is kinda Lincoln lookin to me.

And the engine sounded really wimpy.

Well, I got motivated to do some investigating. And I came across this, through my various sources:

SSM 16666: ALL MARAUDER MODELS

OWNERS MAY NOTICE STRANGE "MORPHING" ACTIVITY FROM VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS WILL BE AFFECTED. UNUSUAL GLOWING LIGHTS MAY BE SEEN EMANATING FROM THE UNDERBODY AND GRILL AREA. CAUSE OF PROBLEM IS LEAKAGE OF SATANIC ENERGY FROM FLUX CAPACITOR IN THE PCM UNIT. THIS MAY BE INDUCED BY EXCESSIVE REPROGRAMMING OF PCM UNIT. SERVICE WRITERS ARE HEREBY INSTRUCTED TO RETAIN THE SERVICES OF A LOCAL PRIEST AND STAND BY TO RENDER IMMEDIATE EXORCISM OF AFFECTED VEHICLES. ALL 2003 MODELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AFFECTED, HOWEVER SOME EARLY-BUILD 2004S MAY EXPERIENCE THIS PHENOMENA. CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS.

Seems awful short for a SSM, but I'm not gonna ask any questions...just feed the car lots of high-quality high-test and a good wax job. LML, you may want to reconsider your babysitting offer...and keep Emma locked up tonight!

And by the way, I know it's a few days early, but....Happy Halloween!

Actually merc406, yer right on. The Car was a radically customized '75 or '76 Lincoln, with the stock 460 drivetrain and beefed up suspension/tires, done by none other that the King of Customizers, Mr. George Barris!

Wonder what he'd do with our cars?....

"The Car 2"?.....

George did a 64 Marauder, turned out pretty cool.

Bowman9 - Nice link. George Barris is the best customizer in the business. IMO. Thanks:D
