G00D for you!!! I really believe in driving this car and enjoying every moment of it, but recently after seeing and hearing stories of our vehicles being involved in accidents, stolen, and myself sustaining a very minor love tap to my front bumper <--- which is now fixed and without a front plate. WOW! Does it look sooo much better! I'm now currently looking for an everyday vehicle myself. After receiving many compliments and realizing how valuable and limited our MARAUDERs have become (Ex. diecast models, LIMITED edition certificates, paintings etc.) Merideath is looking for an early retirement herself, that way I can enjoy her for many many years to come!

My '04 Silver Birch will be retired as my daily driver because on Saturday I'll pick up my newly aquired '03 Lincoln Aviator.
Grand Theft Auto completed .... Gone in 60 Seconds. ;)

I am sure that you'll enjoy the Aviator. Hope they recover your MM.

Congrats, Ms. D!

I'm trying to do the same with the Bluesmobile. Had a '97 SHO Taurus for a while, but E-Dubb ended up with it. Got to find me something else, another pickup would be great.

Get a Titan you won't be disappointed '08+ are the best of the bunch. New T for '011-12, rumor has them at 400hp+ and the possibility of a diesel. Plus it will annoy Jake to no end if their were two of us.:D

....My first mod will be a new stainless exhaust system. Must have chrome tips!:D

How will you accomplish that?

I mean seriously...if you do do it, let us know.

Last I looked at our Aviator, it will not accomodate true dual exhaust due to under carriage restrictions.

The stock Aviator exhaust is more than adequate and sounds even better with the stock muffler and tip replaced alone.

We have an SCT tune mainly to change shift points.

It also did not perform as well as expected in the snow.
Sure it gripped and went straight nicely...but take it to a vacant lot and get used to stopping and turning in heavy snow. Not acceptable.

We use 20" chromies with Ventas in the summer, and 16" oems with Bridgestone Blizzacks in the winter.

The Blizzacks make this truck truley amazing. Handling in the snow is truley amazing and hitting a snowy loop around exit ramp at 50 mph is not unusual. Stopping is on a dime. We were able to go off road last year in 27" of snow. It took a bit a finagling once the snow came over the hood, but she dug in and got us out. None of the above will happen with all season tires.

Good luck and enjoy...mommie wouldn't trade ours for anything.
Here they are...snows mounted up.

A black one would be nice! ( see pic of Barry's) Actually, mine's Light Sage ( faintly green/gold cream color) premium trim level so yes....it's pretty loaded. Has heated AND cooled seats. LOL Sun roof, dual temperature zones, adjustable pedals, dual seat/mirror adjustment and who knows what else...I need to read the owners manual!

NIce indeed!! However does it have remote start?:P

Man I thought finding aftermarket goodies for the Marauder was tough. Looks like Gibson for exhaust or custom and if I get an answer back from CGS I may have a line on a CAI for the Aviator.

As much as I love the thought of aggravating Doomie, I'm a Ford guy through and through. Actually, a beater F150 or a Ranger extended cab would be right up my alley.

CONGRATS PAULA!! NICE Winter Sleigh indeed!! (INTERESTING how it truly NEEDs the Blizzak's in real snow, or else "NO DICE!" I never would've guessed that; I had an '01 Navigator that did just fine with Stock Continental Tires around Indy & Chicago snows a few years back...but since it's quite a bit larger/heavier that must've been the key..) May you enjoy many trouble/worry free miles in your new Aviator~! Take care of that Silver Birch!! :D

Thanks everyone! Tomorrow is the big day. I was out shopping with Mom in the Marauder today, and we saw three Aviators. (2 white and 1 black) I'm thinking of naming mine either Chip, Howie, Charlie, or Amelia. Leaning towards Chip.;) (for Charles Lindberg). His home was near here and they tried his baby's kidnap case at our old County Court House. And of course, he was an aviator.

You better keep hunting, not silver, no good:lol:. Seriously though, you will love it. Take care of that silver birtch. I too retired my Marauder from daily driving duties. Have to take care of it:beer:.

He's buried in Kipahulu, Maui, Hawaii.

His grave site is one of the most beautful, peaceful spots I've ever been to. Had a chance to visit the spot when I was over in Maui about 20 years ago.
