Amazing the loose particles from the sludge they attempted to remove didn't clog the oil pump in two minutes flat...

I can remember when BMW's were quirky little cars(2002's, isettas, coupes, 507's etc) that only a handful of enthusiasts truly cared about. Then some schmuck in Germany decided they should sell these cars to the yuppies and imho everything went to crap. Here is a car that is so much more capable than most of the people who drive them, and these numb-nuts prove my point. Its a shame really that BMW sold out.

whats so specail about a 3 series? My friend had one and it was a piece of junk... until his brother rolled it over, then it was a piece of scrap :D

the new M series line up is for sure a good line up... I love the new M3 and the previous M3... Same with the current M5 and past two M5's

It was kind of funny reading the sugestions like running ATF fluid or diesel through the engine or some other miracle fluid, to clean it out.
Thats just a recipe for disaster if you ask me, if the oil passages get clogged up.

The Germans actually have a good solution for cleaning inside the engine.
It's manufactued by Bilstein it's an Engine Flush machine.

My friend in High School had a little 4X4 Nissan truck that ended up like that...he used to go mudding in it all the time...his parent would give him $ for oil changes and he would blow it on something dumb...We ended up putting a new motor in it, it was exactly like that...MUD!

I take it back, thats beyond MUD, that be VARNISH!

insane, I would have closed it up and not bothered. just change the filter and oil, run it till it drops, all the while saving up cash to replace it.

Surely we have at least one person on the board here that knows you should use KEROSENE in that engine, right?

Wanna bet that his mommy still ties his shoes, too.

HERE'S YOUR SIGN.

60K between oil changes is pretty standard for Hondas, BMWs and Toyotas isn't it?

I remember that! The driver was actually on one of the M5 boards, posting about his car... Someone said he's gonna end up killing himself driving it... and well, what you posted happened a week later
