Thanks!
I wish Carfax told all. I recently bought my 'clean' Carfax 04, from a dealer.
Here is what I have discovered so far. The entire drivers side of the vehicle along with the roof has been repainted. A new skin on the driver door ... discovered that investigating the air leak. The drivers side fog light has been rmounted 90 degrees from it's origina angle. Thhe repainted sucks and is now peeling in a couple of areas.
The dealership, well they told me 'buyer beware'. We can help fix the paint, only $2700 more from you to do that!
Hmph!

I hear ya... I was looking for a beater and got what I needed. I guess my goal was an attempt to limit screwing myself over. I've received a lot of help from members in the past and I figured this was a way to pay it forward.

^^^ Nope... I picked up a 2004 White Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor aka "Sugah" with 120,000+ miles on it and paid $2,300 for it. Engine and engine bay look brand new, rear and front passenger seats look as if no one sat in them. Driver seat definitely worn out, outer body has a few nicks and dents, but nothing serious, under carriage looks solid with no leaks, runs smooth with a nice kick from second gear. I'm assuming it was a Detectives car that was very, very well maintained, but only time will tell! ^^^

Do you think you could do this one for me? I didn't get a "carfax" when I bought it.. It looks like it was in a d.s and or rear end collision, which I noticed when I bought it, but it was such a deal and the repairs look pretty good.
