I volunteer to take delivery for this. I will even fly out for it and drive it back.
You're still footing the bill for it, right?

reports on the SRT-10 Truck as far as the performance. They all state a HP of 500, and a torque of 525 Ft/Lbs which is considerably greater than the 380HP/450Tq rating of the Lightning, however one review stated a quartermile ET of 12.9 seconds(which I believe would beat a Lightning) and another states an ET of 13.9 seconds(which wouldn't even smoke my Marauder, let alone a Lightning).
Logan, if you think a stock libhtning is going to smoke theSRT-10, you're the one that is smoking. NO tests have done yet. the only numbers out there are Dodges and yes, it is 5.2 0-60 and 13.8 1/4, BUT they also put out high 14s and 5.9 0-60 for the SRT-4 and it is running 13s in the quarter. Hell, Even Ford puts out 14.6 in the quarter for the Lightning!!!!! As for ptice, it's pfficial, SRP 45k, but there is at least onedealership takingorders at 42k. I would love to have a silver SRT/10 Ram, they look just plain baddass :)

Did I say Stock? No I didn't.
Considering with quite literally a couple thousand bucks, you're running 12 flat's in a Lightning, the RT/10 isn't that big a deal to deal with.
At the end of the day, it's still a Dodge with the same crappy and horrible interior ergonomics they're famous for. Anyone willing to pay $45k for a RT/10 is going to be pretty upset when they get their ass handed to them by a lightly modified $30k pickup.
Cool Truck? Absolutely! It looks mean as hell. But for $45k? Hell no. With $15k in a L, you'll be running 10 second quarters..
Bring that price down to the mid-30's and you'd have a stellar winner. The expense of the Viper Powertrain isn't worth the return.
That being said, stock for stock, the RT/10 is going to have a damn short reign, as the Next Gen L will run circles around it.
So nanner nanner nanner. You bring me a RT/10, and I'll bring 10 lightly modified L's from around town to kick it to the curb. :D

What is humourous is the Viper got it's tweaked V10 from the trucks. Now that a truck gets a tweaked V10 truck engine, it's the "Viper V10"
Also, I heard that Chrysler will be building that tomahawk four wheel motorcycle powered by the Viper V10. They'll produce 10 at a price of $550,000 each

Neiman Marcus, Baby!!
The SRT/10 is just the opening salvo in the new "Truck Speed Wars." Chevy's SS Silveraldo was pathetic and a joke of a shot. I do hope they step up and make a real contender. In a couple of years, it will get REAL ugly. Almost as Ugly as a Stang-Camaro wars were.

I'd rather have the Lightning anyway since it's a V8 engine under that hood. There's nothing that sounds like a V8 engine. You can keep your V10 motor, cuz it doesn't have that V8 growl.

Sounds more like a clapped out 6 banger that V10 does...

if Dodge wanted to go w/an 8.0L engine, then they should've gone w/a V8 8.0L. Now that would've been something.;)

It started out that way.
I guess ten people with $550,000 in hand changed Chryslers mind?
The thing won't be street legal either
