Reminds me of when Congress wanted to modify the value of "pi" to 3.0 even because it was creating problems for the schoolchildren by being such an "odd" number .... 3.14159265349. For school kid accuracy 3.14 is usually good enough.

lol, I have a feeling this is a well-cooked up story for effect, but hilarious nonetheless.

The real frightening part, even if this was made up, is that regardless there are people in this administration that even if they know better they still approach problems with this mentality.

Had it passed along as a cut-and-paste clipping that looked like it came out of a newspaper; should have vetted before posting.

All the same, funny, and reminds me of typical bureaucratic :bs: I've encountered over the years.
