i HATED the 370 when i first saw it....but seeing them next to each other, driving each, it's grown on me a lot. I LOVE the look of it now, and in black....so perfect.

I saw that 13.4 time at Motor Trend but I find it a bit hard to believe so post up some time slips when you run her at the track I'm real curious because the HP and TRQ numbers don't add up unless it has a really steep final drive gear ratio. I like the 370 styling over the 350, I thinks it's a bit more true to the original 240

Now you can finally compete with the Mach1..... I do beleive last time we raced... the 350 sadly got eaten alive.

I do joke with him for having a ricer, but in all honesty, the big 3 dont make a car that compares. Numbers wise a new mustang might compare, but the handling and overall feel of these cars are far superior. I love the Mach, but it is just raw power. The Z has an amazing balance.

Plus its like the batmobile lol

Well, I went to the local dealer first. They've had a 2008 Nismo 350z since new...still on the lot. They called me saturday to ask if I was still interested (i looked at it a month ago for fun). I went to the bank Monday to ask about financing...they called Monday afternoon to ask. I let them know all was well, and I would be in Tuesday to talk about it. I drove out there, and they THEN let me know the car was sold that morning.

They had a silver Touring model on the lot, so I took it for another test drive. It was a nice car, but I really just couldn't get comfortable in it. I said screw it, and hauled ass out to the dealer that had this black one. Very Very great service....I had called around noon to check if they had it, someone called around 430 to confirm if I was coming by.

anyways...

sticker on a base model with sport package is somewhere around $33xxx. The touring I test drove was $35xxx, and they came down to $34500, and wouldn't budge.

I didn't get much on trade, its winter and the book value has dropped. But, after my trade, plus my payoff, I got this 09 with 12k miles for a little over $25,000.

Nismo is Nissans tuning department, similar to SVT, AMG, etc.

That looks like a 280ZX, I prefer the original Zs (coded "S30Z")

A dream of mine is to have a Datsun 240z with an RB26DETT engine swapped in, keeping the RWD layout and either the 5-speed or a 6-speed standard. That'd be a hell of a machine right there, if you're into the tuning scene....

That sounds about right....it was a combination of the bank and dealer both making errors.

There ae sooooo many ways for the dealer to make some more money, if you beat him up on the price he prolly back ended you with raising your loan interest a point or 2 so his monthly kick back check will be higher.
More then likely he just blew smoke up your you know what figuring you would just come in and sign the papers without caring....
