The last pic was taken in a restaurant called "The Aquarium".

Imagine drinking a cold beer and eating lunch and/or dinner with those surroundings.

Very enjoyable!

Mike, I know what you mean. Thanks for the pics. The Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center at the Washington National Harbor is likewise very nice too. It opened a little more than a year ago. It sits just off I-495 at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge on the Maryland side of the Potomac. You can see the glass front from the bridge.

The huge glass atrium is some 14 stories tall and includes two colonial buildings, a water fountain timed to music, numerous shops and several high end restaurants. Many of the hotel rooms have balconies that overlook the atrium. Walking distance down to the Potomac River landing for outdoor concerts, docks for the water taxis to Alexandria, VA and the Spirit of Washington cruise ships, and others.

One of these days, I'll spring for a weekend up there for a nice weekend outing with the wife. We have gone there before to eat. Very nice.

Those are some cool pictures! Neat looking lobby!

There is a Gaylord Hotel in Wash. DC at the National Harbor.
Marianne and I have been talking about heading down one weekend to check out the lobby.
I've heard that they have an awesome Christmas display/decorations.

You should take her there and check-in for the weekend. I'll bet you will have a Christmas to remember then;)
