Just got this from for Ford on the 2011 f-250 diesel they are injecting Motorcraft Diesel Exhaust Fluid into the catalytic converter to reduce NOX emissions. Motorcraft Diesel Exhaust Fluid is 67% deionized water / 33% chemically pure Urea, Urea is filtered pee from mammals. Each truck will hold @ 6 gallons which should last 7,500 miles. I checked with parts and our cost is about $15 a gallon, so tack on a extra $100 when you get your oil changed:confused:

How about an optional strategically positioned funnel?

Because Diesels use the heat of compression to create combustion the temps in the combustion chamber are very hot. The hotter the combustion the higher the nox emission. IIRC they inject urea to introduce nitrogen to chemically change nox to h2o(water) and co2(carbon dioxide).

Diesels stink enough, could you imagine burning some pee after you eat asparagus:depress:.

Great! A truck prone to gout.

Urea is found dissolved in blood and is excreted by the kidney as a component of urine. In addition, a small amount of urea is excreted (along with sodium chloride and water) in sweat. The chemical compound is (NH2)2CO. :grad:

When are they going to have a feature with poo poo? I will be actually able to say POS truck since pieces of ********** will be in it. Ford has still won me over from Chevy though. I was saved!

DEF will be much cheaper than that. It's already available MUCH less than $15/gallon. Not saying it's the best way to go, but it won't be that bad.

Huh after you posted this I searched online found it for $3- $5 a gallon. I bet you my dumb:censor: parts guy looked it up wrong. They told me it comes in a 55 gallon drum I wounder if he included the core price on the drum but the core would be almost $500 I don't know. Sorry for posting incorrect price info:corner:.

you guys may laugh but anything to make driving behind diesel belching trucks more pleasant, is fine by me if it actually works.

The Mercedes Benz diesel GL's have been using this for a year or two... Check if I remember correctly the tank in the GL lasted more like 10 - 15k but still needed to be check periodically.
