Wandering through the mall today (1st time in 5 yrs) there was a kiosk selling bling rims. Is this a widespread phenomena? They were sets, not brochures and samples.

Large, shiny aftermarket rims that you would normally see on younger males custom cars. I didn't recognize the brand names but only because I hadn't been looking for new wheels in the past 25 years. Perhaps because of my age I used the word 'bling' in the wrong context. If there is a better word to use I hope you will enlighten me as I've found it difficult to keep up with the modern lexicon. Thank you for your erudite question.

I believe that I may call them whatever I please (see the 1st Amendment). If you had read my post earlier you would have seen that I was refering to aftermarket rims, not stock rims. I fail to understand what your point is, unless it is to goad me into some sort of battle of wits which I refuse to have with someone that is only half armed. Now, do they sell bling rims in the mall kiosks of GA between the cheap jewelry and cell phone cover kiosks or not? That was the question not a platform for you to launch some sort of generational culture war. Oh and for future reference the word is 'you' not 'u'. I really don't have any way to tell what type rims you have mounted on your MM, so if you don't know, how would you expect me to know?

I think a lot of you people are getting taken to the cleaners if you're buying "rims". My Marauder, and all of my cars in fact, have "wheels" on them. The wheels conveniently come with rims, which is the outer part of the wheel, and a center section. Without the center section, I would think they would be a complete beeeyatch to mount on the car.

For sure; I mean, you can only do so much with duct tape, right? ;)

True, I stand corrected. And completely off the subject I actually bothered to look up the word 'bling'! In linguistic terms, bling is an ideophone intended to evoke the "sound" of light hitting silver, platinum, or diamonds. It is not onomatopoeia, because the act of jewelry shining does not make a sound. Which is what I meant in the first place. Shiny wheels, which I meant by the loose term 'bling rims'. I can only hope the group will forgive my transgression and call off the lynching.
Still no one has actually bothered to answer my question, instead preferring to argue semantics. Glad I didn't ask about a blower, imagine the maelstrom that would have ensued!

There's around 1/4 million words in use in the English language and and I have to use them all before I move on to Latin. Hmmm, I can tick one more off!
