Wow! I like what I read about the new 5.0 motor. It looks sweet. Ford finally is coming back with a new killer V8. I want one. 11:1 compression!

That is a great engine!
Variable cam timing, 11:1 CR...with a forged crank and rods.
Nothing like bringing the 5.0 badge back in style!
BTW: Did you notice the crappy black paint job during the closeup shot of the '5.0' badge? Hopefully just a preproduction test mule.

Its a generational thing I guess with the "5.0" badge. I still havent gotten used to engine sizes in liters (or tire sizes) yet! The car does look pretty nice, Ill take one in dark metallic blue.

It's a European vs USA thing, was at least for me. Couldn't begin to tell you the CID of our cars growing up but I know one was 1.7L, the other 4.2L. I think we are the same age though you're probably the more mature!

I still like CID, but I just multiply; Liters x 61 = CID.

agreed. have you seen the 5.7 and 6.1 from chrysler? same cheap plastic

I've seen that design of header before on the 1996 Explorer 5.0.
