As someone who is 75% Irish,... (mom's last name was McCarty.. any realation Mac?)I have to say,.. I've never worn a kilt or played bagpipes,.. Steve. What I'm looking for specifically is a contact with the Kit Shop Officer, and or the Regiment Kilt maker.

One of our "younger" Band members in my Pipe Band just showed up with one of those mini-Ponchos, something GXP, GLX, GTP, what ever. Must be "gee-whiz" rated, eh? Anyway, just because, (and only because, I am sure) he's got this Eaton blower under his "bonnet," I'm supposed to feel challenged. Threatened. Ummm...

Okay, I have been busting his chops a bit, but it's been likewise chop busting too, this kid never shuts up. Never thought he took me seriously until he showed up with this gee-something blown roller skate. I'll fix this okay next time we see some dry ground around here, but meanwhile, he's asked the Band to consider playing..."A Beach Boys set," even hummed "Little G T O, you really turn me on..." in our circle.

I told him last night..."Dude, your car is cool, but it ain't no G T O, K? Go get his older brother." Red as red can be, his face went like LED red before he stomped off. (Pipers...Go figure.) Get a life, Randy.

He also said..."I can beat you in the quarter mile" and I replied "wanna try to beat me out of this here parking lot?" He did not.

It's one thing to go fast straight. It's quite another thing to go fast while turning, and turning both left and right. Randy doesn't get that. He will, soon.

Y'all keep tuggin on my Kilt...I can get in your face too. My MM is one thing and I love her. My Kilt is at a much higher level. Y'all wear one too, we can chat. Otherwise...

I'm not familiar with those Tartans. I'll have to look them up, unless you have pictures.

Does anyone here have a Tartan that is clan related? My Tartan is from my grandmothers family, MacHardy, which is a sect of the MacKintosh Clan or are they just a generic Tartan. No flame just courious??

My grandmother was a McDonald. I thought about getting a McD kilt, but as I researched it, I found out that McD is the largest of the clans and therefore has many, many tartans depending on which branch of the clan you are from. Since I don't have enough info on which of the many branches I come from, I decided to forego the clan kilt altogether.

My Grandmother's was hard to find not to many places still make it anymore. It is rare because when they joined the MacKintosh in the mid to late 1800s there were only 20-30 warriors left in the clan. All you need is to get a general location in Scotland of where your Grandmother came from. I have te address of a place in Virgina were I ordered mine from if you are interested just PM me.
