Annual hog jowl, black eyed peas, cooked cabbage for a New Year's meal. Added some corn bread and fried green tomatoes. Yum Yum.
Wifey said it didn't work last year since I'm now jobless. I figure I had lots of good luck...
No hospital time, no illnesses, no family members died, not homeless, not broke or bankrupt, no serious accidents, travelled by air over 100k miles and never had to spend a night in an airport, didn't break my car...
Lots of other positives to cancel out the minor inconveniences caused by the few negative events.
