Judging by the pic, it looks like it fits the 2V not the 4V model. Save your $$$.

Any of their tensioners qualify for the discount. They have the single bolt Mach1/Marauder/'99-'01 Cobra one, the three bolt '96-'98 Cobra one, the three bolt Terminator Cobra one, and others. I already have the one for the Terminator style, with the gripper plate and really like it. I'm going to get the other one soon, I have a customized OEM one for my 8-rib setup and the ThumpRRR one in single bolt style will work fine as a replacement.

They have a lifetime warranty!

Go check out the thumpracing website. I believe the one pictured is for an '05 and up Mustang or maybe the GT500. They have models available for anything we might need.

So which one is for a stock MM?

Here's the website:

http://www.thumpracing.com/#belt_tensioners

1001 is for the stock timing cover.

1002 is for the Cobra (or Trilogy) blower belt, several different options for pulley size and gripper plate.

1003 is for the '96-'98 Cobra (and '93-'98 Mk8) timing cover, also with different options for pulley size.

1004 is for the '96-'98 Cobra (and '93-'98 Mk8) timing cover but will fit under the Vortech blower bracket.

My particular one was ordered without a pulley since I already had a Metco 90 mm pulley. I ordered the gripper plate separately at a later date.

whats a Gripper plate and what would the recommended pulley size be?

Here's mine.

I used the 90 mm pulley I already had on hand, a different size may work better on other folks' setup.

The gripper plate reduces belt slip.

Does it work: yes, I had signs of belt slip when I first put the Whipple on and went to the dyno, it would lose boost at higher rpms. Twin screw isn't supposed to do that. Roots does it but not TS. I added the gripper plate and the boost holds steady now.

HOW does it work: I dunno, maybe a little more belt wrap, maybe a little more belt tension, maybe it stabilizes the belt so it can't bounce and slip.

Upgraded...

I reckon that's close to $1000 worth of tensioners in that last picture.
