The release date isn't until 20 August 2010. Remind me again after the Safford L-M $500 give-away car show. :D

I was reading up earlier the movie earlier

Sylvester Stallone suffered a hairline fracture in his neck after a very realistic fight scene with Austin. Stallone needed to have emergency surgery and a metal plate inserted in his neck following the scene.

About the incident, Stallone had the following to say:

"Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I'm not joking. I haven't told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards. I now have a metal plate in my neck."

Water boarding is overrated.

Yep, The surf is never 'up' for a good water boarding session!

BTW: Did you see the Stone Cold vs. Stallone fight in the trailer?...:2thumbs:

:bump:

In the fine MM.net tradition of reviving long dead threads...

Marianne has no interest in seeing this movie and is going out after work tonight...so I'm going to go see 'The Expendables'!

Looking forward to seeing a great action flick with lots of stars, lots of gunfire and lots of azz kicking! :gunfire::flamer::uzi:

( I might have to grab a chilly one...or two, at the local pub beforehand....)

Bad A$$! Typical Stallone Rambo movie. Well worth it. And he has a bad a$$ truck in the movie.

Just saw it two days ago.

Arnold & Willis have cameos.

Stallone drives a nice truck and the bikes aint bad either.

Lots of bullets & knives flying along with blood & guts all over the place.

Well over 100 bad guys killed, dismembered, etc.

Of course the good guys win!

My kind of movie!

I give it:

I saw it too. I really liked it but it was kind of disconcerting seeing all my favorite old action stars (Stallone, Arnold especially) looking so damn old.

The truck was awesome, too bad they destroy it.

If you can find the tv show Street Customs, they show the build of that truck. They also had 2 other truck set up to specifically destroy. All they did was make them look the same because they were told from the beginnng build that those 2 trucks would be destryed in the movie.

The truck that got all the custom mods was only for scenes that did not involve wild stunts and I thinks Stallone kept it after the movie was finished filming.

As a movie guy this has to go down as one of the Greatest Action Movies ever. If I were to sit down and outline the perfect action movie, I don't think I could have come up with something better...

Expect all the "who would win" matches you have thought in your head to be addressed here, as well as proof the old dogs know plenty of new tricks.

Expect AWESOME car/truck/bike scenes as well as the right amount of humor to keep the movie going along.

Expect just a hint at romance to let your significant other think "oh this might have something for me to enjoy" only for her to get a sledgehammer of action to the face, letting her know she made the big mistake of entering a "no estrogen zone."

Yep...this movie is the bar all action movies from here on out need to shoot for.

"Whats his problem?"
"He wants to he be President..."
