January 2006, 4 Years & 48 Checks...

It started in January 2006, maybe a month or two sooner as I was dreaming up finding a used Marauder while grinding away on a treadmill.

I found SMOKE sitting in West Babylon New York. I traded my 3 year old Hyundai Sonata in on her. Got 10K for the Hyundai (and more than my money's worth out of that fine little car).

I joined a Marauder website called mercurymarauder.net. I started what would end up being 1,000+ posts and counting. I bought a ton of little crap off eBay. I started 4 years of payments.

Now, 4 years later, 48 checks later, 1 divorce later (not because of the car :P) I just moments ago clicked a button on a web page servicing my Chase Auto Finance loan that said I'm done paying for the car and a title will be in my mailbox in 6 days.

Not...too....shabby....:D

Congrats!!! I sent the last payment and Ford sent me the wrong paperwork for my car! I have the paper work for some guy in upstate NY with a 04 explorer. Hopefully by next week, I can be officially in the "Its mine" club.
