Prayers Needed.

Prayers are asked for my father-in-law, Frankie, who is currently in a hospital in Florida. Family called while I was at work and advised that he probably would not last the day. I am racing down to Florida at this time with my wife in order to be with him. Requesting your prayers for Frankie and for a safe trip for us while we proceed to our destination.

Thanks all for the prayers. It worked as we had a safe trip down to Venice, FL. I made it in the Lincoln in 24:00 hrs with one meal stop, straight through. Frankie was aware that we were there. At 2:20am Monday morning he passed a embolism (sp) from his lungs through his heart and that did a lot of damage from which he could not recover. On Tuesday morning he became unresponsive and late Wednesday he passed over to his new life. We all drove back together in two days, arriving very, very tired last night.

Thank you all for your kindness and thoughts. There is one person whom I forgot to thank. That would be the person who actually posted this for me. You see, I was actually on I81 in southern PA last Saturday night when this was posted by one of the POs that work for me. I gave him the info on how to do it and advised that it meant alot to Arleen and I. Thanks John! We left in a hurry when the call came in that Frankie only had 24 hrs to live. I hope I never have to drive 24 hrs straight again and then stay awake for another three days...

Its almost over, kind of. The arrangements are set. Calling hours are Friday, funeral service Saturday. Then the healing can begin... Provided the USPS does not lose the deceased remains :rolleyes:
