I'm not too sure those aren't discontinued if DR quit carrying them. I saw some for sale on eBay a few months back for like 75 shipped, I'm still kicking myself for not picking one up.

Well you get one from here http://www.karkraft.com/new_page_9.htm or you could register here and PM Roy for a spacer up to 1/2" made from real Phlemonic material http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/showthread.php?t=61184&page=3

+1, from what I've heard, little noticable performance gain.

Maybe +3hp and 10ftlb torque and an inproved throttle response for less then 100.00. Not bad! IMO

I really doubt it would produce that much. I would only consider this mod along with a ported upper/lower intake. PHP has the whole package extrude honed upper intake and ported lower intake w/PHP spacer for $1200. They claim 18-25hp combined. I only got my PHP spacer because well it was half of what it would cost new and I had a ported lower intake done with the BBS project.

IMHO I believe the only thing this does is slightly increase throttle response, On a lightly modded N/A engine. Not worth it in my opinion. Mine will be coming off when ever I get around to my engine powder coating project.

On a N/A engine with a CAI and a reinhart tune would it be worth installing the spacer? What is really to gain ??

put the money towards mods that would really make a difference, like 4.10s

^^agreed.
Shops around here do them for 400/500 for 4.10s installed. Consensus is CAI, 4.10s and tune are the best bang for you buck mods. Gets harder after that...

Only relatively cheap mod other than the above I'd add to the list is U/D pulleys.

You can add UDP's & Electric Pump to the list of low hanging fruit mods but.....$ per HP is more expensive....after those me thinks....

It's worth having if you have or plan on having headers or more open exhaust of some sort. Remember every little bit helps, it might not do a lot alone but combined with other mods it can help out.

A wise man indeed. And, for $80 shipped, what could it hurt? About the price of a full tank of fuel a year and a few months ago.
