Well My friends in Michigan, just finished there first kit, and with only five pounds boost it made 350 RWHP, that is not bad numbers so they are going to go smaller on the pulley and hopefully get 400 or better at the wheels, David custom made an air to air inner cooler and as you can see clocked the Vortech to go straight down on the passenger side from there he ran it in the inner cooler and then brought it up on the drivers side utilizing the stock intake, he has a custom made Big mouth Throttle body made, and he custom made headers and full custom exhaust with 4:10's. David does real good work they recently did a 02 GT and made 467 RWHP on a stock motor with a Vortech S Trim and after cooler I sent them. I will basically do the same thing, I am trying to get a dealer to send me a new Marauder as we speak and I will market a kit for the club, along with a Bullit proof stall converter. As soon as I get finale dyno numbers I will post them, along with track numbers.

looks like those headers are going to require a whole new exhaust system.doesnt look like they will bolt up to the cats.i thought we needed shorty headers

As I said he has a complete custom exchaust, and custom cats that do bolt up to the headers, Long tubes are not worth the efort or cost on a N/A car shorties may help but know one will know till we see the before and after numbers.
i noticed that the intake on the MM get very quickly.can your chip keep the egr valve closed so that the intake doesnt get that hot so quickly.will that single change have any adverse effects on drivability?

Yes I can turn off the EGR, and it will effect your gas milage, but with the Delta chip you can have a seperate program for this type of setup so you dont have to run with it off all the time, only with the flip of a switch.

I'm drooling all over myself looking at this set-up. I do have a question though. Is it much of a risk to push this engine to 400 horse? Are we asking to break something? How much is it likely to cut off the engine's life expectancy?

In my experience, the stock bottom ends in the mod motors are good up to around 425-450hp, anything past that and they start blowing rods... I ran my blown 5.4L for years with 410rwhp with no problems on a stock bottom end.
do you have any.... friggin... idea.... how much those are worth!?!??!!
Dennis!!! You are the man once again!
Longtubes that fit on a crown vic/marauder! :D WOW!

Yep to the first two, depends for life expectancy. Engine life will go down though. The more you push it, the bigger the risk. You may get many miles or just a few (like me). What I have seen with Cobras is that the #7 piston ring land cracks first followed by #8 - which I believe has happened to me. The theory is that these cylinders on Cobras are a straight shot from the TB and, therefore, get the most air and run leanest. For MMs, it may be the #3 and #4 cylinders since the intake is a mirror image to Cobras.
