before i start the car i hear WOO! noise from my engine

Ones i start my car i hear WOO noise! for about 30 sec from my engine. am not sure if it is the belt or the pully? did any one know what it is?. It just dose it when ever i start the engine cold for 30sec and gose a way? ones the engine is warm and i try to start it again it dose not come back? how could i track this problem?

ive never herd it described as a "woo" noise but im 99% sure what you are hearing is the air compressor for the air ride.

Open the door, reach in turn the key, start the car and watch from outside the car and see if the car rises. It will also happen if you put lots of people in the car as it detects more weight in the car.

Mine made a chirp from the belt for a second at startup. Not a big deal, but annoying. I bought a "Gatorback" belt. It has cross hatching through the ribs at 45 degree angle. Extra grip. Fixed it no problem. Not sure if this is your problem.........

It does it when it's cold because it's had all night to sink down.

It does it when it's cold because it's had all night to sink down.

Bad pulley bearing. Remove the belt and spin the pulleys to find out which one is rough.

its just for decoration mang

if its more of a fog horn sound (a deep whoooo :) ), it could also be the IAC (idle air control) valve. Mine made the noise for awhile, then the car wouldnt idle when it was cold. easy fix tho

More than likey it is only an idler pulley. Mine and takedowns make the exact same noise every morning (when 35* or colder) for the last two years. It will go away.

Another thing the Gatorback belt fixes is the belt chirp when going from 1st to 2nd gear at WOT.:banana:
