After several weeks in the teens and single digits we have been graced with a thaw. Day three of average 38 degree days have put a halt to everything fun :(

It's not looking good for the future either. 40's expected soon with no freezing temps expected over the next few WEEKS!
Winter can't be over yet....is it???

The ice in the rink is holding up well with only a little water accumulation. The ice on the house however has done major damge. I saved the A/C fortunately with a homemade shelter.

The rink is still good at 8" thick...but full of puddles. :alone:

That and a roof...

There are so many professionals that were weaned on pond hockey.
They talk about it all the time. The fond memories and all...

:thinker:

I was thinking of starting a donation website to raise money for a refrigeration unit. I bet if word got around, those guys in Minnesota and Canada would feel sorry for us in Ohio having to skate in a 'wet' pond and hook us up out of pure empathy lol!

Doesn't it refreeze at night? You got to wake those kids up real early before the thaw
