If a 79-93 Mustang is a fox chassis and a 94 & up Mustang is an SN95, what is the CV/GM/TC chassis called and how long has it been around?
I know that most of the good bits for the Impala SS came from the Coprice 9C1's, but how much of our cars improved bits came out of the CV police interceptor parts bin? Anyone know what differences there are in our cars and regular GM's (besides the obvious trim, powertrain, sway bars and front shocks)?
I'm just curious

The platform is called "Panther" Some people like to claim it's an "ancient" platform with a new body, just because it's Body on Frame. that isn't exactly the case.
03 was a year for many improvements as well, some of them brought on by the Marauder's necessities. Rack and pinin, new aluminum front cross member, hydroformes frame rails, new front suspension, new rear shock placement etc.
Thye current Panther platform is much more advanced than the Impala SS/Caprice was. (it was even when the Impala/Caprice was still in production)
the Panther platform is shared by the Grand Marquis, Marauder, Crown Victoria, and Town Car
