I recently returned to the dark side in purchasing another new vehicle -- General Motors. :D

Nice car, nice price. V6 LT loaded with goodies, including the sunroof. I just wasn't that thrilled about having the V8 SS model with front wheel drive.

I really really need to invest in building a parking garage in my back yard.

How could you get any more down-home-America than a poorly run government entity?

At least you got a good deal and its not a ricer. Let us know how a government made car holds together.

Good choice man, if someone handed me a check to buy an American car right that minute off the top of my head that might be the one I would pick, maybe SS though since they killed it again. Nice color choice too.

I got a better question, why not a Marauder?!?!

Well. I did it again. His and Her Impalas.

At least until Ford comes out with something like a Crown Victoria or Marauder again. I know, sadly enough, I may have a long wait.

His and hers, whoa! I guess you will be doubly busy posting about TWO cars on the Impala sites?

At least a GM product is still one level above walking. :)

Ford quit manufacturing everything I like.... the Marauder, the Crown Victoria and the Excursion.

Nice Impala's, I drive them for work and was considering buying one myself.

I'll gladly take that Excursion off your hands, just let me know when... ;)

I think I am going to have to keep the Excursion...... forever. Just like new, low mileage.

I just don't like it's replacement, the Expedition XL.

I wish Ford would cease and desist in discontinuing everything I like. :mad2:

;)

If you do purchase one, consider the LTZ model. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought
both of my new ones in the LTZ model. It adds the dual exhaust and looks sharp.

I think the LT #3 package adds the dual exhausts too, but I'm not sure.

I was looking at the SS model, in the year 2009. I have a local dealer who will work with me on a good price. Then again, I already own enough vehicles. We shall see...

I don't think I need to start a new thread each time I buy anything new.

The choices this time were Ford Expedition, Ford Expedition XL. The GM lineup of choices consisted of the Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban and Yukon XL. Ford Motor Company just didn't have anything I was intereested in other than the Expeditions.

Well, GM won again. Tahoe Z71, 4x4, navigation, sunroof, DVD entertainment system, remote start, back up camera (part of navigation head unit), and all the other bells and whistles.
