View Full Version : Taryn shooting the Desert Eagle .50

I have a Desert Eagle .50 and .44 Magnum that I like to take out every so often, sometimes just so I can watch other people try to shoot it! One of my Navy friends has been bugging me to shoot it, and she's tiny, so I was looking forward to some good entertainment!

Anyway, I finally gave in and let her take a crack at the hand cannon today, and this was the result!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nLEaMxP39M

I only put 1 round in there in case she dropped it, but I could have loaded it up, she took it like a champ!

I took some pics too:

I'm surprisd that you can shoot that .50 at an indoor range.

BTW: She hung in there when that hand cannon went off!

You can shoot anything as long as you don't get caught....

I don't want to be the fool who breaks into her house and she has that DE loaded. They would be carrying whoever out in a bag.

I like to take the .44 Magnum and .30 Carbine pistols to the range. The big boom and huge muzzle flash make everybody else stop, look, and ask WTF??? Surely the '50 is the same. Funny, I let the wife shoot the Super Redhawk, she would shoot once, shake her head, put it down and think about it. Then pick it up and repeat.

You can shoot rifles in this range too, so the .50 isn't any issue. I was, however, the only person to blow the target off the hanger without actually shooting the clips. :D

Several bags. I've seen the exit "wounds" it inflicts on soft materials.

My girlfriend and Taryn's boyfriend probably wouldn't appreciate it. ;)

Yeah, this gun definitely draws a crowd. It's twice as loud as anything else in there, and the person in the next lane always pokes their head over because they can feel the concussion every time I shoot.

Yeah, I actually just met him yesterday, right before I went shooting. I was going to pick up everyone and we passed each other. Then, on top of that, I met the other student Marauder owner that is here too last night. I don't know if he's on the site though.

Way back, I was stationed up in what was called the north area before it became a city in its own, at the air base....overall --had a lot of fun there all around.

I told her to hang on for dear life. As much of a great video it would have been to see her get a 5.5lb steel kiss, I obviously didn't want her to get hurt. Hearing her say "Holy *****" right after was definitely worth it though. :D

I suppose. I'd probably have more fun if they let us out of here more often, but with so little time, I don't get a chance to explore much. There's a lot of history here I'd love to take the time to see, but 80 hour work weeks have been keeping me from it.

I know what you mean----took me many years after leaving the area to return to visit and explore to get a chance to enjoy it all....

Juice did make me proud when we met Saturday ... his very lovely FEMALE friend leaned against the right rear of his MM and he gave her a dirty sideways look and growled at her to ,"get off the car..." :bows:

I have one, it's been broken for the past 2 years, I'm sending it back to Magnum Research to be fixed and reconditioned. When I stopped shooting ammo, by me, was $39 a box (of 20). I just bought a 10/22 and while I was at the shop I asked how much a box of .50AE runs, dude had NO idea what I was talking about, I said .50AE for a Desert Eagle, ohhhhhhhh $60 a box.

$3 for a bullet by me, back when it was $2 a pop I could reload them for .70 each, going to have to start doing it again.

YEOW...that's ridiculous....BUT it's a HOBBY!!!

What's the real purpose of such a powerful handgun other than shock value and entertainment??

It's actually very accurate for a pistol, apparently it's pretty popular for hunting boar. I bought it when I was stupid and had money burning a hole in my pocket, but I kept it anyway. I absolutely love the way it shoots, so I've always been happy with it.

It's fun to shoot, if anything, that's all that really matters. Plus, if I didn't have it, I would be posting videos of hot chicks shooting it. :cool4:

The .50AE is between $39-42 for 20 rounds depending on the grain, so it's definitely not an every day shooter. The .44 Magnum is a little better at ~$35 for 50 rounds, but still no economy round. I've had the gun almost 3 years now, and don't even have 1000 rounds through it. The good thing about guns is that they last forever with proper care, so I'm not in a hurry to use the hell out of it.

That particular indoor range and store has a delusional owner that thinks he has the only show in town. Markups on most everything is usually 15% to 50%. they also play off of the young military not having the worldly knowledge that they think they have. Nice facility but D minus in all other area's.

The only reason I have one is because I wanted one as a kid and I found one for sale for a good price and snapped it up. I will say that even with the 6" barrel it is VERY accurate, it's also a lot of fun to shoot.

Why is that?

Ontario likes to blame gun deaths on guns, rather than on gang members with guns. So they support making duck hunters into criminals because they don't register their rifles in a registry created to keep track of illegally imported guns that criminals don't register anyway.

Underconstumble?
