I lets see, re plumbed the meth nozzles to the intake, installed intake and blower, reconnected gobs of vacuum lines and harnesses, sealed up a leak in the meth tank, refilled coolant and oil, changed out the fuel pump, put the front of the motor back together, drove back and forth to Summit Racing for parts, 3 trips to Fastenal.
Hope to finish up in the AM and go out and put 500 break in miles on it tomorrow so Jeff can do the new tune Thursday and I can get into the detail for SSHS14 Saturday.

^^ did you have full wheel covers before or center caps? Is the car arizona beige? looks good, but the wheels leave something to be desired especially with the chrome accents on the car. I have center caps of that vintage (looks like 98-02 judging from the headrests) as well as 03+ if youre interested.

For those curious I'm using Yokohama Ice Guard iG20's sizes front 225/60/16 rear 235/65/16.
They are just as good if not better than Firestone Winter force in snow, but much quieter and handles way better on dry roads too.

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/23/48a61b93cd283ad0eb1b2b021a01d1 77.jpg

I also installed a Firestone rear air bag suspension kit and FINALLY finished removing the peeling layers of paint, plasti dip, paint, layers of aluminum, plasti dip, paint, and more aluminum off the damn rims and repainted till I can afford new.

Haven't touched the MM in probably a month. Just seem to have ZERO interest lately. Plus I need parts and parts are expensive..[emoji20]

I have a Steeda underdrive kit part number 701-0005A left over from my 2008 Bullitt Mustang new in the box. I went out and raised the hood on the Marauder and compared the stock water pump pulley with the Steeda water pump pulley and discovered it won't work. Steeda earlier told me the crank damper / pulley in this kit will work on my Marauder. I now either have to find the correct water pump pulley or sell my kit and buy one for the Marauder.

Also I checked out the Marauder owners manual and read up on the specifications and coolant burping procedures.

Started the '03 and let it run for 15 minutes then put it back to sleep.

Probably the worst thing you could have done.

FYI... Need to run long enough to heat the engine and exhaust system up to get rid of the water vapor in the system. You also don't recharge the battery enough to replace the energy used to start. I'd recommend getting a battery maintainer if you don't drive it enough. My MM is off DD duty, have a maintainer on the battery and take it out every weekend for a long spirited drive.

Purchased several manuals off EBAY, saved well over $200 vs. buying from Helms. Could have saved more, but was trying to find some that were in excellent condition. If the description and photos of the ones that I purchased are correct these were hardly used.

1. 2004 Workshop Manual
2. 2004 Wiring Diagram
3. 2004 Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis
4. 2004 Passenger Car Specifications Book
5. 2003 and 2004 Marauder Dealer Brochures

I see on Helms there is a front disk brake job aid part # FCS13947AID. Was only $15 for a package of 5. Does anyone know what this aid entails, besides the obvious (front brakes). Is there anything different with the front disk brakes on a Marauder vs Grand Marquis

I had to replace one of my HID bulbs. I was getting a slight case of "Pink Eye". This is a common occurrence with HID applications. bulbs will sometimes turn pink when they're going out. Luckily I still had some 9004/9007 hi/low bulbs from my old car. I was able to install and no more pink eye! I will have to order additional HID bulbs to keep on hand.

Replaced the overflow reservoir with a nice new one that you can actually see through to see if it is low on fluid.
Installed new coolant temp sensor. We'll see if it solves my cold start issues, but I rather doubt it.
Ordered a pair of high quality brass battery terminals that look awesome and have connections for accessories.
Ordered a trans thermostat from Improved Racing. My trans cooler works too well. Expensive little bugger.
Ordered TCE SS brake lines.
Ordered a case of synthetic trans fluid.
Ordered a washer fluid reservoir. The old one is pretty grungy and discolored.
Filled up with 93 OCTANE TOP TIER gas at Costco for only $1.98 per gallon. Win!

FYI..

The top of the thermostat, aka "the pointy end" should point towards the ground.

Had the Meziere electric water pump removed and a stock Motorcraft pump installed. The Meziere is the second on the car. The first died at about 50,000 miles. The second didn't even make 1,000 before it fried itself. The few extra horsepower just isn't worth the risk of overheating the motor to me.

Got started installing the Alky control meth kit , i had Julio mod a Vortech tank for the meth with a low level led warning light (in tank float assembly) , the pump is mounted on the frame rail directly beneath the battery tray.

Next is mounting the map sensor on the drivers side cowl by the cruise control , and routing the wiring and led indicators.

Which look do you prefer on my front end? Long Euro plate or square double line motorcycle plate? The motorcycle plate is even smaller than an American plate so it looks kind of lost in the original bracket and the long Euro plate, well I think it simply looks out of place on an American car. Any thoughts? Before the question arises, I can't just mount them directly to the bumper, in Germany it is illegal to drill holes through license plates so they must be mounted in a bracket... go figure!
