Looks, and sounds, like a rev limiter to me.

That kind od driving is why I love the World Rally Championship.

AND...after watching WRC, F1, GT and NASCAR wrecks lately, I don't know what you'd have to do to (not that I'm advocating it) kill yourself in a modern race car.

IOW - drivers take chances unheard of 10 or 20 years ago because they know there will be virtually no penalty to pay other than wrecking someone else's car.

Way back in a previous life Dennis:D This is how I really learned to drive in a rally prepped Volvo GLT 275hp turbo 4 (Me & my cousin).......{I know...Some would say I need to go back to school:o}

Never did 110 mph down roads like that tho......Moved for sure, but no 110.Rally is wild at any speed. I have been looking for a replacement rush for 20 years.......... Nuthin comes close:burnout::burnout:

Ken Block is on another level entirely tho. That car is probably pushing 550hp if not more

WRC is very safe nowadays, but back in the 80's in the Group B days it was different, back then the drivers never complained about not having enough power.
The Fiesta is a cool car but it pales in comparison to the old Group B cars like the Ford RS200
