Yeah, the Marauder is pretty awesome, but everybody knows it wasn't the tire scorching, fire breathing, street terror that was advertised.
Maybe it was the pairing of a 4000 lb car with an engine that generates most of it's power on the top end.
Would it have actually have been better to just slap in the standard Mustang engine and supercharge it instead of the 4-valve?
Just wondering...

There was supposed to be an 05 factory S/C version. :alone:

Actually, IIRC, the test mules for the program were SC'd 2V engines, I think the NA 4V was a late introduction. along with 3:55 gears instead of factory 4:10s to keep the bean counters happy.

I would prefer a N/A 4V to start with than a S/C 2V, so i'm happy with what they did.

They really should have gone all the way and put the 03/04 cobra setup in it... especially for the price they charged. No way was I gonna pay 35K for this car.

All the way would have been the Lightning motor.

the lightning motor is weak as hell compared to the terminator motor sorry.

Considering magazines were driving the 03 Cobra and publishing road tests in May/June 02, I would have to say yes ;)

Well in that case, scratch the Lightning and insert Terminator.
