I have a bunch of microfiber cloths and towls, how are you guys washing/drying them? Some have spray wax on em.
Normal wash, not mixed in with clothes, no bounce sheet tossed in the dryer with them.

I have my Indian Princess beat them on rocks at the creek. (Her rocks and creek say Whirlpool). Hot water, detergent, no bleach. Dry with not softner as you prefer the static when removing excess wax.

generally just wash all the micro fibers together, detergent, & water, when they become stained they become engine cleaners, wheel cleaners, then the trash man gets them.

But....but...your screen name...does this mean you never actually get rid of any?....the CBT's brain hurts now....

trash= total recall about strange happenings, ( I thought I said this before), and I usually try to refrain from using, "trash", and use refuse in it's place.

Whoa, easy now, let's not get all crazy.
A few times I had thrown them with my colored clothes during laundry days and they came out fine lol. I just let them air dry, avoiding fabric softeners. At my shop we just threw them in the wash together and reused them each day 40-60 plus times. The older they get the better they work so keep reusing them. I hate using brand new ones that you have to break in. Same deal goes for Chamois too.

I have always used a detergent that is 'free' from scents, softeners and bleach.
Warm water, regular wash.
Run them thru a second complete cycle (cold water only) to rinse them thoroughly.
Low heat tumble dry.
:D

when washing a microfiber towel you are only supposed to wash them with any kind of laundry detergent. DO NOT put them in the dryer. let them air dry and the microfiber towel will be like new.

Mine too. I wash mine with my underwear, everything comes out nice, clean and silky smooth! ;)
Seriously, the main thing to remember is don't dry them in loads with fabirc softener sheets.

Do you ever go to put on your undies and its like "Hey, there's those 3 missing shammys!" as they fall out when you put your leg thru the first hole?

Ditto on that method. Seems to work fine to get the Turtle Wax Ice out of them.

I use Bounce sheets, but they have actually caused dryer fires. There is something on them, like a waxy something, and it WILL clog your dryer lint screen if you don't keep it fairly clean. It's recommended scrubbing the screen with soapy water every now and then if you use fabric softener sheets all the time, to unclog the holes. So it stands to reason that if you use fabric softener sheets with your microfiber towels, they too will get coated in whatever those sheets are made out of, and make them not as absorbent. Okay that's my public service announcement for the year, lol.

I just throw them in the washer and dryer and I use them for wiping other items. I dont reuse them for removing wax. I just buy new ones.......and occasionaly I like to gag my wife with an old one. J/K

Well..you see the older washers don't have all those special cycles like the new washers do,but once you have been with a certain washer as long as I have (25 years this year) you don't even have to turn the lights on to know where to spin the dial too and what buttons to push to get the cycle you want :D. Sometimes some of those fancy wash additives don't hurt either.....
