It was snowing here at 1 this afternoon, by the time I left work at 2:20 I had to have the wipers on full blast to see. Now I'm having trouble seeing due to beer drinking, but yeah, be safe, peoples!!

4" down since 6pm, road are not being maintained, traffic rolling 20 in one lane, and we just drove home from downtown after the AHL game. I was the only one in the snow covered hammer lane maintaining 40. :cool:

And the best part....21 degrees and clear by Sunday.

Still coming down pretty good. Weatherman is saying that we still have about 5"-9" to go. It'll easily bust 24 inches here. The snowplow came through last night and gave me a 3-4 foot ridge at the end of the driveway. That'll be the toughest part.

Looks like 2010 will go down in the record books for the Virginia, DC and Maryland metro area.

22 inches of snow here at the house, southeast of Waldorf.

A friend got stuck with his Chevy snow plow last night, so I yanked him out of the snow drift with my SuperDuty.

Spent 2 hours snow plowing the pavement in front of the garage this morning, will have to do it again here in a few hours.

Denise has been busy in the kitchen today. Lunch was baked ham and scalloped potatoes, veggies, homemade bread, and homemade chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven with a tall glass of milk.

Weather RADAR looks like another 3-4 hours of snow.

The MM, Mariner, and the JETTA are hibernating through the snow storm out in the heated garage

Snowed in, the plow on the Explorer can not handle it, 24"+. Have to do a little at a time, so far made it about half way to the other garage. Have to try again tomorrow and have no idea what the road looks like to far and too deep to find out. Will probably still be snowed in on Monday and possibly Tuesday; if any more snow falls on top of this will not be going to work next week until I get the driveway plowed.

Yep, back in those days, we'd get up 8 hours before school, shovel out 10 feet of snow from our 1/2 mile driveway, then walk to and from school in -15* weather, 5 miles, up hill, both ways. And we were THANKFUL!

I just got home.. it started with flurries around 9.. by the time I finished shooting the **** around 10:15 I had more than 1/4" on the car and the roads are slicker than snot.. it's a real wet snow...

The state usually takes care of their roads.. the county roads will be basically shut down if we get a couple of inches.. and we're projected to get 6..
