Not sure if I'm in love w/ the narrow stripes.
Somebody said it looked a little like "Bucky Beaver".
But still awesome.

I'm not sure I understand, what's the point in keeping the GT500 when the GT350 will already make more power on a smaller setup? I could see if they were to toss in a 7 litre and supercharge it for even more power (a la F-you Mr. ZR1), but I don't get the point except for keeping the namesake alive.

1. the GT350 is not a ford car, it's an upgrade you buy from Shelby... for a ridiculous price btw.

2. Have you seen power numbers for the 350? Other than just guessing?

Silly me, I just GUESSED the numbers were what the video mentioned of probably hitting between low and mid 500's for HP. Unless I heard wrong, or you guessed I meant the GT350 package with the 4.6 and not the new 5.0 GT350 package...

No my point is in the article they specifically say that no numbers have been given yet, and then they go on to say what they think the numbers might be. So it's pretty silly to say
what's the point in keeping the GT500 when the GT350 will already make more power on a smaller setup when no one knows what shelby will end up doing power wise.

yeh, silly me for thinking it could even be in the ballpark of what they think it might be, especially since they've only been doing it for years.

They would very obviously not want to put out solid numbers publicly yet if they didn't have them, as they wouldn't want a negative backlash from saying it'll produce 'x' amount and then possibly have it produce less than that number, it's just common sense in marketing. I'm saying, unless the GT500 is gonna be putting out a decent amount more horsepower, or perhaps if people are more willing to work with the 5.4DOHC modular than the new 5.0 for the fact that there should still be a lively aftermarket around instead of breaking all-new ground to build it up more, there doesn't seem to be a particular reason to keep the badge alive except purely for the reason of keeping the badge alive.
