Why would one buy a Grand National or GNX to swap in a V8? I think that twin-turbo setup would've been just as good in a Monte Carlo SS body and at least you wouldn't have sacrificed one of the main reasons that made the Grand National so great.

He or she may have bought it with no engine, or a detonated engine??

I saw one of these last week in a shop rusted to crap. The people at the shop thought it was a waste, but I saw it as a car that the owner enjoyed to the full extent. Ran and drove fine, but needed transmission work from all of the fun! :burnout:

I agree, that's why I got me one, had it almost 20 years now. Love it more each day. Car in video is owned by Chris Chow.

Where is it said that a V8 was swapped in? It can very well be a TT setup on the 3.8 V6.
