Since I was a little kid riding in the back of a 50 convertible, I've loved Mercs.

But, over 50 years of car ownership, I've only owned two.

A 1966 Comet Cyclone 289 2v convert, and a 68 Cyclone GT fastback.

Loved the 68, hated the 66, but, since I was coming off a 65 Stingray, nothing would have compared.

In 1967, drove from NJ to Fla on our honeymoon in the 66, and hated every minute of it.

Sold it asap and bought the 68.
