Introducing the 501 hp Hennessey Performance VelociRaptor 500. Ride along with John Hennessey as he unveils the new supercharged SVT Raptor with a blast down the quarter mile.

Dubbed the VelociRaptor 500, HPE takes the new 2010 Raptor to 501 HP and 520 lb-ft of torque with its supercharged upgrade, full stainless steel exhaust and custom tuning.

Performance results are phenomenal, with 0-60 mph taking just 5.6 seconds (vs. 8.8 second stock) and a quarter mile run in 14.09 seconds @ 97 mph (over 2 seconds quicker than stock).

Nice looking truck, wish he would've gotten an early-release 6.2L version to do that to. Would be interested to see the difference. The cylinder heads on the new 6.2L look like bigger versions of the Trickflow 2V heads. Huge valves.

I saw that a few days ago on youtube. Pretty sick, they run it in 4wd. And the sound that thing makes is awesome. Ill be waiting to see what they do to the 6.2L though.

It's a cool truck especially in orange, but any of those performance parts is a total waste of money. The only product I might consider is headers for the get up and the great sound. I have learned my lession years ago not to mess with 4x4 trucks when you want performance. Looks like the truck has close to 10K in it or more. By the time you are done with everything you will have probably spent close to $50,000 and it can't run 13s. Maybe on race gas, but then it takes away it's street ability. Can you said Warranty Voided? Not to mention how many transfercases you will warp or break.... been there! :o We didn't even think of transmission issues or changing the gear ratio.

I like the truck... stock.

i honestly think is slow, very slow for the money.
i have a friend with a 7.3L powerstroke with a chip, exhaust and banks cai, 4x4 running 13.8 at 96mph with 213k miles. i vote for diesel on a truck

Got to agree with those who say its slow. Wonder how much speed is getting sucked up by driving it in 4x4 Hi?

That's for better hook up and it's better off the line. It does make a ton of weight resistance and a lotta times people will shift it back into 2WD when it get's past 30mph. Just another way to break it. :shake:
